Future War Will Likely Be Unsustainable for the Survival and Continuation of Humanity and the Earth’s Biosphere
An Environmental Studies honors thesis examining future warfare, powerful emerging technologies, humanity’s survival and the living biosphere. Its original academic byline, advisors, date and 2010 copyright remain unchanged in the historical document.
The documented connection
The 2010 thesis directly discussed mathematical governance, optimizing human potential and a Win-Win-Win approach to economic, ecological and social outcomes. These are historical intellectual antecedents to subsequent MathGov work. They are not evidence that the later decision architecture was specified or validated in 2010.
New reassessment in development
A separate research project will reassess the thesis against contemporary scholarship on nuclear risk, ecological consequences of conflict, food systems, biosecurity, AI and autonomous weapons, cyber conflict, international law, rights and accountable governance. That project is planned, not completed.
Claims, predictions and speculative scenarios in the original thesis will be critically examined rather than silently corrected.
